In other news, have an art project. A b-day gift. Mom tells me a week in advance. Mom, I will do my best to get it done, but I really need 2. Newsflash, I have school. A lot of it. With homework. Good golly.

OK, so this was incredibly scatterbrained earlier. I have a 4x6 picture to complete within a couple of days, as mom informed me of a semi-causal b-day thing for a lady who is like a grandmother to me. I have absolutely no issue at all making her a picture. It's the time frame in which mother tells me this. I have like...4 days to get this thing done since I have to account for a rush delivery from the online printing store. A 4x6 also is a huge file. Huge. It's about a 4000 x 4000 (I know that's a square, work with me) size. It'll be my biggest digital painting to date, which is also inconvenient as hell. I'm going to finish my two papers tomorrow so I can work on it here as soon as I can. I have the background done (it may need finishing touches later) and much of the bird done. He needs his wings, eye, beak, and legs finished before I can start doing the final touches before sending it off.
I'm so tired of birds right now. I love them, I truly do. I went on a trip for ornithology this weekend. First half was fun as we saw a lot of birds. Chased this pileated woodpecker around to get a good look. Bloody suck would fly where we couldn't go, then would come back, then would be off as soon as he came. Then we got to the lake and all birds shut down. It was freezing outside (high was 42 for the day and now we are by a lake.) By the time it was over I literally could not feel my feet. I can honestly say I was walking over rocks that I could easily feeling through my boots earlier that didn't even elicit a tingle from them. Needless to say I was happy to be back at the apartment in heat. I made hamburger helper, then proceeded to sleep for 2 and a half hours. I was up at 5:30 for this after not sleeping well and I couldn't sleep another 30 once I was up for my alarm. I ate breakfast, left at 7 for the school, left school at 7:30, got to the gardens at about 8:00 and was pretty well outside until 12. So yeah, it was really long.
